Windows 10: Windows Hello and fingerprint reader - Windows 10 says option unavailable

In W10 Pro when I go to Settings > Accounts > Signin options, none of the Windows Hello features seem to function. They all say "This option is currently unavailable", then there's a link to "Learn more". As near as I can tell, there's nothing at the link to explain why these options are unavailable.I purchased a Kensington VeriMark Fingerprint Key hoping that installing one would resolve the problem, but no luck. I am told that "We couldn't find a fingerprint reader compatible with Windows Hello." Here again, clicking the "learn more" link provides zero information on what the proble

Fingerprint reader/Windows Hello unavailable

I am using Windows 10 on a Dell laptop. Yesterday, the fingerprint reader on my laptop stopped working, forcing me to sign in with my password. I tried disabling and re-enabling the fingerprint option, but it didn't help. I went online and found something
that said I need to download this "Your Phone Companion" app and restart my laptop--it also said to go to my Registry Editor and add something to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\System.

I did that, but when I put my finger on the scanner now, it says my PIN is required to sign in, so I still have to enter my password. So I went back to my sign-in options and noticed that the Windows Hello Face option was unavailable; it said "We couldn't
find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face."

A lot of things I've found online tell me to type "gpedit.msc" into my Run window, which doesn't work.

Can anyone tell me what I should do so I can use my fingerprint scanner again?

No Windows Hello with Digital Persona 4500 fingerprint reader

Digital Persona uru 4500 fingerprint reader automatically detected by Windows 10. In settings it's showing BIOKEY 200 fingerprint reader. And in device manager it's updated with latest driver 4.0.0.128. Trying to see Windows Hello in sign in option over
two months with these fingerprint reader. But no solutions still now. Tried all necessary steps but no Windows Hello. The driver I can upgrade only 4.0.0.143. No other driver or software is getting installed under compatibility mode in Windows 10 also I have
found.

Pls try to give a solution.
