Windows 10: Windows Hello + external camera + tent mode = not working

Dear All,

I have a laptop Dell XPS 13 2 in 1 7390 which I use mainly in tent mode. As the build in camera doesn't support Windows Hello I purchased external one Logitech Brio 4K. Unfortunately I quickly figured out that there is configuration issued that the external camera sees the Windows Hello up side down and can't recognize me.


Is there a way to configure it so that the setup works?

Tent mode switch problem

For Tent mode issue you may try the steps below and check if that helps.

• Win + R -> type 'regedit' and enter
  
  Registry editor will open up.
• Goto path -> HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr​entVersion\AutoRotation
• Check the value of Enable file if it is 0 rotation will be OFF, if 1 rotation will be ON.
• Restart and Auto rotation will work.

Windows 10 tent mode slow down

I am having the same problems, drove me crazy because at the office I am using the Yoga 2 Pro in tent mode, attached to an external screen. Took me a while to figure out that the problems where due to tent mode instead of attaching to the external screen.

Biggest problems are with chrome which becomes really unresponsive and does scroll very very slow, but also in Edge and Firefox. Also it seems like office documents are opening very slow.

I am using the Yoga in laptop mode for the time being, that works just fine.

A while ago I had another problem connected to graphics settings/drivers and if I recall it properly it had to do with a conflict between Intel graphics settings (via Intel HD Graphics Control Panel), Windows own graphics settings (which overlap with Intel's)
and Lenovo's settings concerning laptop/tablet/tent mode. I thought the solution back then was to disable the Intel Graphics Control Panel but I can't find that option anymore...

If issue still persists, then install the drivers for Windows 8/8.1 from the manufacturer's website in compatibility mode and check if that works.
