Windows 10: Windows Hello facial recog just won't show up on my lock screen!

When it was introduced, the facial recog worked fine. Then one day, I was noodling through the Settings/Accounts/Sign-in page and saw that there was fingerprint recognition. My new laptop has that feature, so I thought, OK, good to have that option. I enabled it. After that Facial Recog vanished. Turns out after trying it for a few days, that fingerprint recog is a bit of a pain. I trained it over and over, yet it still takes several tries.

So I thought I'll bring back facial recog. Nope. The Settings/Accounts/Sign-in page said it was working fine, it "enhanced" recognition of my face. I disabled Fingerprint recog and it said it was disabled. But still, on my lock screen only fingerprint recog shows up and facial does not!

Any ideas? When I look for help all I find is posts about cameras not working (mine works) and tedious step by step on how to set up the Sign in settings. Now, Reddit, any ideas?

Windows Hello Facial Login

Thanks for the reply. I went to the settings and looked for the option dealing with the camera and facial recog. It doesn't show up that I can find. Is the problem Windows Home or is there an update I need to have? I do have the finger print reader and
I love using it but I would like to have the facial recog feature to use also. How can I do this if I have a camera, fingerprint reader but it won't let me set it up?

There are a few reasons why this Windows Hello facial recognition fails, such as outdated driver, compatibility or OS update. We'd like to know if you made any changes on your device prior to the issue, such as installing update or change settings?

As an initial troubleshooting, we suggest you to reset Facial Recognition by following these steps:

• Press Windows key + I to open Settings.
• Click Accounts and select Sign-In options.
• Locate Facial Recognition options and click Remove under them.
• Click Get Started and follow the on-screen instructions to reset Facial Recognition.
• Restart your computer.

If issue persist, update your drivers by following the steps on this link. You can also check your device
manufacturer for latest release of drivers.

Windows Hello Facial Login

Hello. I have a Lenovo Yoga 710, 15in, Intel i7 laptop with Windows 10 Home installed on it. I am currently using the fingerprint ID to login and would like to know if I can use the facial recognition to login under Windows Hello? It only gives me the
fingerprint option right now. I have looked but can't find anything saying this model isn't able to use the facial recog feature. Can anyone help? Thanks...
