Windows Hello Facial Recognition on my HP windows Spectre Windows 11 stopped working over a year now.While trying to resolve the issue, i clicked on remove and started a new setup. The camera sees my face but does not scan my face but continue to show "Make sure your face is centered in the frame". 1. I have updated the driver it did not work2. I have reinstalled the driver it did not work3. I have reported to HP support. Two different staff attended to it virtually but could not resolve it. They advised that the system be formatted which i did not agree to so as not to loose my installe

Does HP Spectre x360 support windows hello facial recognition?

Found couple of threads on HP forum, but it isn't extremely clear. I wonder if HP is intentionally not making it clear. Can someone please confirm?

Does HP Spectre x360 support windows hello facial recognition?

I am not 100% in agreement. I bought my Spectre in April 2007 and it came WITH Hello pre-installed. Wonderful.

I then Set up Windows Creator Update Fall edition, as NEW install. Lost Hello. The Hello says it cannot start the camera. Checked the Camera (with the Camera app). Works perfectly.

Hello worked with all Windows Insiders releases too...

Any suggestion is welcome.

 

Windows Hello Facial Recognition in Windows 11 stopped working

I have a 2021 Dell XPS laptop with Windows 11. Until this past week facial recognition in Windows Hello for unlocking the computer worked just fine.

However, in the past week Windows had several updates that i downloaded and installed including February 2022 Cumulative Update (#KB5010386) and January 2022 Cumulative Update Preview for NET Framework 3,5 & 4.8 for Windows 11 for x64 (#KB5009469).

Since then Windows Hello facial recognition does not work'

Anybody, have this same problem and a simple solution on how to get Windows Hello facial recognition to work again.
