  1. Windows Hello Fingerprint Bug on Windows 11 Insider – Finger Already Registered + No Option...

Hi, I'm running the latest Windows 11 Insider build and I’m facing a major issue with Windows Hello Fingerprint login. After setting up a fingerprint, it works until the next reboot. On the next startup, the fingerprint login option disappears entirely. When I try to set it up again, I get the error:"That fingerprint is too similar to one that's already set up. Try a different finger."But I have no registered fingerprints listed, and no way to remove anything. The only workaround that works temporarily is:Uninstall the fingerprint driver.Reboot.Reinstall the driver manually.Setup fingerprint aga

Is there any way to improve a finger print recognition or replace a single finger in Hello on Windows 11?

Here are some tips to improve fingerprint recognition:

    1. Clean your fingers: Make sure your fingers are clean and dry before using the fingerprint reader. Dirt, oil, and moisture can interfere with recognition.
    2. Position your finger correctly: When scanning your fingerprint, position your finger so that it covers the entire fingerprint sensor. Make sure you press down firmly and hold your finger steady.
    3. Register multiple fingerprints: You can register multiple fingerprints for better recognition. Try to register each finger from different angles to increase the chances of recognition.
    4. Update drivers and software: Make sure you have the latest drivers and software for your fingerprint reader installed. Check with the manufacturer's website for updates.
    5. Adjust the sensitivity: Some fingerprint readers allow you to adjust the sensitivity. You can try adjusting this setting to see if it improves recognition.
To add or remove fingerprints in Windows 11, follow these steps:

    1. Go to Settings and select Accounts.
    2. Click on Sign-in options.
    3. Under Windows Hello, click on the Set up button for Fingerprint.
    4. Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new fingerprint or remove an existing one.

  3. Is there any way to improve a finger print recognition or replace a single finger in Hello on Windows 11?

That seems partially off-topic, but does that mean you believe that the answer to my question is "no, there is no way to replace or improve a single already-registered fingerprint"?

Windows Hello Fingerprint Bug on Windows 11 Insider – Finger Already Registered + No Option...

Cannot Register Fingerprint in Windows hello.

    Hi Muhammad,

We'd like to know a couple of things so that we can better address your concern. Kindly answer the following:

    • Did you use a Microsoft account to sign in before you registered your fingerprint? If so, are you using the same Microsoft account right now to do the same thing?
    • What was the exact error message that you got? It would be great if you can provide us a screenshot.
    • Have you tried signing in with the previous fingers you registered?

If you're using the same Microsoft account to register your fingerprints and you were able to sign in with the fingers you previously registered, that means they are already registered in Windows Hello and you don't need to re-register them again (thus,
the possible error you're getting). You have the option to add multiple fingerprints or remove all fingerprints that are currently registered under your account.

If you have other questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to us.
