Windows 10: Windows hello, fingerprint error "your device is having trouble recognizing you, try again"

I'm using lenovo ideapad 3 and after the recent windows update on 13 October 2023, my fingerprint no longer works. On my lockscreen, trying to sign in with my fingerprint does not work, it keeps saving invalid fingerprint. So following online guides i tried to remove and add back my fingerprint. Removing it went fine but now i can't add back a fingerprint. When i to add one, it starts out and ask for my pin and afterwards when it tells me to touch and lift my finger, it does not register and keeps telling me "your device is having trouble recognizing you, try again". Before i removed my finger

We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner/camera Windows Hello

Hello, I'm experiencing some issues while trying to enable the Windows Hello login via camera and fingerprint. Basically I have this Windows 10 21H2 joined to a domain, and using administrative creds I've enabled the registry keys to enable Windows Hello and PIN login.

Unfortunately I'm not able to use the Hello camera or fingerprint despite the device is Windows Hello compatible (HP Elitebook G8). I've tried all the suggestion reported on the tutorials but still no luck, I have the error: We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with windows hello fingerprint On both camera and fingerprint. Both devices are recognized properly via devmgmt. Do you have any suggestion? Thank you!

• Have you made any recent changes to your computer prior to this issue?
• We'd like to clarify the error message, is it Device is not compatible whenever you try to sign in?
• What is the current build and version of your Windows 10? To check type in
  winver on the search bar and press Enter.

Meanwhile, we suggest that you run the Windows Troubleshooter for devices and hardware through this

link and click the section that says Find and fix problems with devices and hardware.
We also recommend that you reset the Facial Recognition and Fingerprint options. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key + I to open
  Settings.
• Click Accounts and select
  Sign-In options.
• Locate Fingerprint or
  Facial Recognition options and click
  Remove under them.
• After that, click Get Started and follow the on-screen instructions to reset Fingerprint and Facial Recognition.
• Reboot your PC to apply the changes.
