Windows 10: Windows Hello Fingerprint, We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows...

I am using HP probook 455 g7 and after this update "Cumulative Update 2023-01 for Windows 11 Version 22H2 for x64 Based Systems KB5022303" my fingerprint scanner stopped working and when I go into settings it says "We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Fingerprint". what should i do please help

We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner/camera Windows Hello

Hello,
I'm experiencing some issues while trying to enable the Windows Hello login via camera and fingerprint.
Basically I have this Windows 10 21H2 joined to a domain, and using administrative creds I've enabled the registry keys to enable Windows Hello and PIN login.





Unfortunately I'm not able to use the Hello camera or fingerprint despite the device is Windows Hello compatible (HP Elitebook G8).
I've tried all the suggestion reported on the tutorials but still no luck, I have the error:

We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with windows hello fingerprint

On both camera and fingerprint. Both devices are recognized properly via devmgmt.
Do you have any suggestion?

Fingerprint scanner not compatible with Windows Hello

After the Windows 10 update of May 28th 2020 I am unable to login with my fingerprint. Going to Settings - Accounts - Signin options - Windows Hello Fingerprint it says "This option is currently unavailable. We couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible
with Windows Hello Fingerprint." My laptop is a Lenovo Yoga 540. How do I activate the fingerprint scanner again ?

Hi there

My fingerprint scanner on my HP Envy stopped working a few days ago. I receive an error message when viewing the sign in options "Couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with Windows Hello Fingerprint".

I've checked Device Manager to ensure that it is set to Automatic and running.
