    Windows Hello: Login via Fingerprint works for a while but then stops working


    Using Windows Hello Fingerprint, PIN for faster authentication. Starting with Windows 11 login via Fingerprint only works for hours, a few days and then permanently saying that PIN is required and Fingerprint not offered even configured properly.The only way to make it working is configuring a new finger. The it works again for a while...

    Windows Hello Fingerprint not working

    This is still not working after doing all those steps, please help after the Windows update it stopped working and it says the following : we couldn't find a fingerprint scanner compatible with windows hello fingerprint.

    After taking all the steps you suggested on here it says i have the latest update.

    windows hello fingerprint not working after 20-30sec in login screen


    if i go idle for 15 seconds or more in log in screen.. windows hello wont read my fingerprint..like my reader stops working....fingerprint is still in my login option but no reaction everytime i try to swipe my finger in the reader..
    i am sure that the reader is working fin because after i log in using password, i try to register new fingerprint and it is working fine..and there is no problem in my fingerprint reader before upgrading to windows 10


    i tend to power up my laptop and then let it be for a few minutes..and i think its not the right behavior of fingerprint reader to stop reading fingerprint like that...
    is there a good solution for this?
