Windows 10: Windows Hello not working

Hello,


I've recently had to update my laptop and my fingerprint and PIN were removed and I've had to use my password to login. I've tried to set up a fingerprint, but every time I hit 'set up' then 'get started' and enter my PIN it does nothing. Not sure if this is an issue with the PIN or Windows Hello. Same deal is happening with the PIN: I go through the motions to change my PIN, hit enter, then nothing happens.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.

My hello sign in stopped working.

• Are you pertaining on Windows Hello sign-in? If yes, does it mean that the facial recognition is not working?
• Is there an error message displayed when using Windows Hello?

Meanwhile, it is better to check the status of Windows Hello sign-in option in your computer. To check the Windows Hello status, follow these steps:

• Click the Start button and select the Settings
  icon.
• Choose Accounts from the list.
• Select Sign-in options in the left pane of the window.
• Under Windows Hello, kindly check the status of it.
