Windows 10: Windows Hello Pin removal won't accept CORRECT password

I have a laptop I'm trying to repurpose for a friend and trying to remove the Windows Hello PIN sign on feature for them and it prompts for a password to remove it but repeatedly says the password is incorrect. I have logged onto Microsoft on the same laptop and updated the password and it logs in fine to my MS account, but will not accept the correct password for PIN removal. I have rebooted several times and have logged onto my Microsoft account with the same password on several other devices just fine.I have also verified I am able to remove the PIN on other computers with the same accou

After Windows 10 update, signin screen won`t accept my pssword.

Sign-in screen won`t take my password after Windows 10 update on a new HP laptop. I had setup a pin login but now asks for Microsoft password which I wrote down and have used before but will not accept now.

Repairing startup on a W10 machne using a Hello PIN instead of a password

I need to repair the startup of a machine using W10 but all the advanced options offer me the (correct) username but then ask for a password for the account.

I used to use a password to log-in but - as suggested by Microsoft - I changed it to a Windows Hello PIN.

If I try to use the original password it isn't accepted and there doesn't appear to be any way to offer a Hello PIN instead.

Could anyone offer any suggestions please ?

I suggest you to follow the below steps to remove the sign in pin/password options.

• In the search box type sign-in-option.
• Click on the sign-in-option.
• Then you can find password/pin/picture password.
• There you can remove the option and check.
