Windows 10: Windows Hello Sign-in not available, cannot change to local account

Hello,After upgrading from Win 10 to Win 11, I have 1 account on the machine that cannot use Windows Hello Pin or Fingerprint. It says "this feature is not available" in Settings>Accounts>Sign-in. The other accounts are able to use these features.I tried following many different suggestions already:deleting the NGC folder in safe moderemoving the existing pin and fingerprint----still couldn't add a new one.re-installing win 11 keeping files and AppsThen I thought maybe if I switch the account to a local account for login and then back to a Microsoft account login that might help sort i

Local account installation question

I'm fairly certain that Skip this step was available in 10.0.130 - the workaround in Step 20 (back button) is no longer required.

The currently known, as of 10.0.130, ways to create a Local account sign-in are

• Skip this step at the MS account creation phase
• No Internet connection during the install
• static IP (post# 2 by Fragment) - New (to me anyway)

 

Local Account password changed to Online Account Password

Hi,

I suggest you to follow the steps on how to switch from Microsoft account to Local account:

• Click on search in taskbar and type account.
• Click on Accounts.
• Now, under Your account, click on Sign in with Local account instead.
• Enter your Microsoft account password for confirmation and then follow the screen instruction.
• Enter User name credentials for your the Local account and click OK.
• Now, login to Local account.

"Sign in with local account" button is not working.

  in the search box and press Enter to help you identify.
• Have you made any recent changes on your device prior to your concern?
