Windows 10: Windows Hello stopped working, how do I fix it?

Hello,I have been running the same windows 10 pc for a couple years now with no issue. About a month ago I started my pc for the day as normal and my PIN didn't work. Instead it told me to log in with my Microsoft password. After doing some digging it appears that Windows Hello has simply left the chat. When I go to sign in options it says "Require Windows Hello sign-in for Microsoft accounts" but the setup is greyed out See pictureI didn't install anything new leading up to this, there wasn't even a windows update that I'm aware of. Windows hello facial recognition has stopped working,biometrics missing.

Window Hello facial recognition has stopped working .I have tried all the advice I can find on the web to fix it ,but have managed to remove the biometrics from the device manager list. I've searched for a replacement download but couldn't find anything.
I'm using a Surface Pro 4. Any Suggestions?

As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest running the automated troubleshooter to scan your computer, identify the problems, and attempt to fix the issues automatically. You may refer to the steps below:

1. Press Windows key + R and type Control Panel.
2. Type troubleshooting in the search bar and click on Troubleshooting.
3. Click on Hardware and Devices.
4. Follow the steps from the wizard to run the troubleshooter.

If the troubleshooter can't identify or fix the problem, it's possible that you might be missing the latest updates for the biometric device driver. See if an update for your device is available or see if uninstalling and reinstalling the driver resolves
the issue.

1. Select the Start button, type Device Manager, and select it from the list of results.
2. Expand one of the categories to find the name of your device, then right-click (or tap and hold) it, and select Update Driver. For biometric devices, expand the
   Biometric devices category, right click the device name, and select Update Driver.
   
3. Select Search automatically for updated driver software.
   
4. If Windows doesn't find a new driver, you can try looking for one on the device manufacturer's website and follow their instructions.
