Windows 10: Windows hello unable to detect camera

I am using a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7i. I set up windows hello using facial recognition and was working fine, but recently it says that it is unable to detect a camera. I have tried switching on the camera app alone and it works but does not open when I try to re-setup facial recognition it keeps saying no camera detected. I have also tried to run troubleshoot on the camera app but it said nothing was wrong? please help :"

We need to investigate further so that we can identify the cause of the issue. We suggest checking for driver updates for your camera and see if it helps. Follow the steps below:

• Type Device Manager on Start/Cortana.
• Click on Imaging devices.
• Right click Integrated Camera or the name of your camera.
• Select Update Software or Properties >
  Driver Update Driver.

My integrated IR camera is not getting detected by Windows Hello

Hi All,

I have a Lenovo ThinkPad P14s which has an integrated IR camera which is Windows Hello ready. My Windows Hello for Business options such as PIN and Biometrics such as Facial Recognition and Fingerprint was working well for more than a year.

But 2 days back my facial recognition stopped working all of a sudden and I started getting below message that "We couldn't find a camera compatible with Windows Hello Face".





Even an external IR camera which was detected earlier and was working even with Windows Hello, stopped getting detected too. I tried mutliple steps to fix this problem but nothing worked so far.

Can someone suggest ways to resolve this Facial Recognition issue?
