Windows 10: Windows Hello unavailable. Prompt user to set up

Hi,A user has skipped setting up Windows Hello Sign-in options Face and PIN after signing in, a number of times.They are no longer prompted to set these up after signing in.They cannot be setup/changed via Settings now either.How can I prompt the user to set up their Windows Hell Sign-in options when they next sign-in?

Windows Hello Face Sign In Option Unavailable

I appreciate the efforts taken by you in resolving the issue. I understand that you are unable to use Windows Hello Face and PIN on your computer. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



However, please let us know:

• Are you aware of any changes made to the computer prior to this issue?
  

• Which build version of Windows 10 is installed on the computer? Refer
  Which version of Windows operating system am I running?
  

You may want to refer the troubleshooting steps mentioned below and see if that helps:



Reset Windows Hello Biometric Database:

1. Press Windows key + R, to open Run dialog box.
   
2. Type services.msc and click on OK.
   
3. Look for Windows Biometric Service, double click on it and click on Stop.
   
4. Now, go to C:\Windows\System32\WinBioDatabase, take a backup of all the files inside the WinBioDatabase folder.
   
5. After taking a backup of the files, delete all the files.
   
6. Now, open Services by following step 1 and 2, and restart the Windows Biometric Service.
   
7. Go to Start >> Settings >> Accounts >> Sign-in options and register the Face data again.

Kindly try the below steps and check if this helps.

• Open the Local Security Policy editor. Follow these steps:

1. Right click on Start and select Control Panel.

2. Select/search Administrative Tools.

3. Now double click on Local Security Policy.

• In the left pane, expand Local Policies, and click/tap on
  Security Options.
• In the right pane of Security Options, double click/tap on
  User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for standard users.
  
• In the right pane of Security Options, double click/tap on
  User Account Control: Behavior of the elevation prompt for standard users.
  
• In your case you have to select Automatically deny elevation requests.

NOTE: The default setting is
Prompt for credentials.

• Close the Local Security Policy editor.

Windows Hello unavailable

Hello!

I have an HP Envy x360 with Windows 10 (latest version). For the past couple of months my Windows Hello has not been working - fingerprint scanner/pin/face recognition doesn't work, and under sign-in options, for all the Windows Hello features it says 'This option is currently unavailable'.

I have done all the fixing, troubleshooting, and problem solving I can (including checking group policy options, uninstalling/reinstalling the driver, and repairing system files). I went through all of the suggested steps on these websites: How To Fix Windows Hello Fingerprint Not Working In Windows 10 How to fix - Windows Hello "This option is currently unavailable" -

And nothing has changed.

I did drop my computer a while ago (several months prior to the issue) which caused denting and temporarily stopped the touchscreen from responding, though everything was in working order again without any intervention within a couple of weeks. Perhaps this is a delayed issue from that?
