Log In PW Required for Windows 10 on Start-Up

I had Windows 7 and just upgraded to Windows 10. I previously did not use a PW to log into Windows 7, now on Start-Up of Windows 10 it is requiring me to log in with my Microsoft Account PW. I haven't a clue what it is. Get a message that I can change
my PW by going to "account.live.com/password/reset" That is really cool, except you can't get past the log-in screen on the computer. I did go to that address and changed my Microsoft Account PW. Still no luck.

The first step you need to do is go to Settings -> Accounts -> Sign-in options, and then Add a new password. Once you have done that step, you can remove your PIN to use password to login instead of PIN. It requires you to set a password before switching or
removing the PIN

Log-in Pin is incorrect after Anniversary update


I had the same issue after my update on Windows 10. I knew that my pin hadn't changed but it was saying it was incorrect. So I said that I forgot my pin and it started going through the steps to reset the pin entered my regular password and when the window popped up to set a new pin I said cancel and then I chose the option to set my pin later. I exited the screen, logged off logged back in, and set up a new pin which happened to be the same pin I had before and it worked. If this still doesn't work I can show step by step screen shots if you need. I have a surface 3 with Windows 10 fully updated 10.0.14393.0
