Windows 10: windows ink does not have the ability to turn off the handwriting things. how do i turn it off.

please help me. I don't know how i can turn off the handwriting thing when i click in a text box. this is very frustrating.

How can I disable handwriting (ink) in Windows 10?

I recently remote desktop connected (ie. RDC'd) into my tower pc (connected to my TV) from my surface laptop and was blessed with this useless windows ink workspace program permanently enabled on my tower PC. My guess is that Microsoft "learned" that I
had the ability to write (via my surface) and thought it would do me a favor by turning it on for me. The following did not work, but I wanted to mention since I did them before finding the answer: 1) the steps documented in this thread 2) services.msc
and disabling "touch keyboard and handwriting" 3) going into settings>privacy and turning off "send Microsoft info about how I write" 4) privacy>speech, inking & typing and turning off "getting to know me"

1. gpedit.msc

2. Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Ink Workspace

3. double-click Allow Windows Ink Workspace to open its properties.

4. select Enabled from the available bullet options. Afterward, select
Disabled from the drop-down menu under Options section.

5. Click OK and then Apply. Restart your PC to make the changes effective. Once logged back in, you’ll notice that Windows Ink Workspace has been disabled, and you’re no lo able to access it through taskbar.

Turning Cortana Back On

Before we proceed, I would like you to provide the information stated below:

• What happens when you try to turn it on?
• Do you get any error message when your trying to turn it on?
• Did you make any changes to your computer after you turned Cortana Off?

For now, I would suggest that follow the steps below and check if you are able to start Cortana.

• Go Settings, Time & Language, Speech, Speech, inking, & typing
  privacy settings.
• Get to know me - turns Cortana on
