Windows 10: Windows Insider Preview 18329.1 (19h1_release) downloads and installs, but fails to...

I have had several chat contacts with technicians, none of whom have been able to help.


My laptop is downloading and installing Insider Preview 18329.1 (19h1_release) without any problem.


The computer needs to reset to complete the installation. It does so, and the 'Configuring Windows Update' screen appears, showing the % completed, and the message 'Do not turn of your computer'.


It runs like this, then restarts itself, sometimes while still at 0% completed, other times going as far as 35% completed. When it restarts this time, it goes to the normal log-in sequence, and the Windows Update setting window says it is downloading the update all over again.


Windows Defender Updates are installing normally, and downloading works fine for Daily Pictures and SpotBright.


The problem is only affecting the Insider Update mechanism.


Can anyone help? I have posted on the feedback hub, but had no responses so far.

Windows 10 Insider Preview Install Failed

• Are you referring to Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14267?
• Which Intel drivers are you referring to?
• Are you referring to Intel drivers deployed through Windows Updates?
• Did you get any error message when they fail?

From your description, I suspect that the problem might be due to unsuccessful installation of preview build caused this issue. Suggest you to check installing the build again to see if the same thing happens again. If you don't see the
Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 14267
update, then please check it after sometime. Refer this link

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

KB4025339 Fails Install 0x80070564

I am trying Eagle 51's suggestions now. Windows Update troubleshooter found a bunch of errors and fixed all but one.The update is trying to download KB4025339 again. I'll see what happens. At step one troubleshooter finishes with one error unresolved "Potential Windows Update Database Error Detected-Not Fixed". Windows update stalled at 0%.

At step 2 same troubleshooter error. The KB finished a new download failed to install.
Did step 3 KB has downloaded but fails to install.

If Eagle's suggestion doesn't work I'll try EdTittel's suggestion

Tried bothe Eagle & Ed 's suggestions - do not work. Anyone else?

I have noticed that the latest update for my nvidia drivers has failed to update. Wondering about that!
