Microsoft Safety Scanner is a free scan tool designed to find and remove malware from Windows computers. Simply download it and run a scan to find malware and try to reverse changes made by identified threats.

Microsoft Safety Scanner only scans when manually triggered and is available for use 10 days after being downloaded. It is recommend that you always download the latest version of this tool before each scan.

Microsoft Safety scanner is a portable executable and does not install itself on your computer. To remove this tool, you would just delete the downloaded msert.exe executable file.

This tutorial will show you how to scan your computer on-demand for malware with the portable Microsoft Safety Scanner tool in Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10.

This tool does not replace your antimalware product. For real-time protection with automatic updates, use Windows Defender Antivirus on Windows 10 and Windows 8 or Microsoft Security Essentials on Windows 7. These antimalware products also provide powerful malware removal capabilities.

    Here's How:

    1 Download the 32-bit or 64-bit version of 32-bit or 64-bit Windows.
    Download
2 Save the msert.exe to where you want, and run it.

3 If prompted by UAC, click/tap on Yes. (see screenshot below)

  6. Update Issue Safety Scanner

If you are using Windows Defender, you won't need Safety Scanner, as Windows Defender contains all malwares which are in Safety Scanner list and it has additional protection like cloud-protection, just make sure it is update and run a full system scan with
    it.

Do you have access to those files which has been detected with ESET?

Could you post back the list of malware?
