Windows 10: Windows installation after SSD failure

Hi!PC Details:- Windows 10 Home Edition.- SSD C drive- HDD D drive- NVIDIA RTX 2080- 8 GB RAMIssue details:- After the last windows updates, I noticed that the windows freeze no clicks, nothing can be done. I had to switch off and switch on the PC. - I also noticed that any change in C drive SSD does not persist after reboot. E.g. I can delete an exiting file on C drive and it shows deleted. After I reboot, the file will appear again. Or I can create a new file while logged in. After reboot the file will not be there. - D drive is working well. So I backed up all my files/directories f

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

"Application Install install package failure!" while installing 13.9

Running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and MSI 6970 Lightning.

I was upgrading from 13.4 after I did a clean uninstall with AMD Catalyst Install Manager.

Doesn't say what installation failed in the install log. Everything in the log says Success but at the very bottom it says "Application Install: install package failure!" but doesn't say what failed to install.

I only install video drivers and no CCC.

The only thing I noticed is AMD Catalyst Install Manager is not listed in my programs list.

 

SSD Failure


Last year I replaced an aging hard drive in my Mum's pc with a slightly less aging OCZ Vertex 2 SSD.

This morning she was using the pc just fine then left it until this evening when it suddenly would not boot and reported sata drive failure.

Perhaps I shouldn't be too disappointed considering it was last generation technology.

What should be my first steps in diagnosing this fault? If the drive has failed I may as well suggest it be replaced with a more modern one which I'm sure has better longevity. I have an external drive reader which can take any sata device. This should allow me to see if the data is accessible.

In my own rig I have a Samsung 840 EVO 250 which has served me well so I may suggest she gets the same unless you guys have alternative suggestions.
