Windows 10: Windows installation failed; after reinstalling, the license key is invalid

Yesterday I bought a new copy of Windows 10 Home and did a clean install installed it on an older hard drive. It activated as usual, but the hard drive failed when I restarted the computer and I had to install it a second time on a different hard drive. When I went to activate it again, Windows informed me that the license key was invalid, and the error code hex C004F050 indicated that the license key was no longer valid.According to this page I should be able to simply re-enter the key which isn't working, but this other thread suggests that I should be able to re-install u

Windows Updates failed to instal

I just did step one and they have just all installed.... thank you so much.... it was quite frustrating having that update window pop up every 5 minutes and failing to instal every time

Question On OEM Windows clean install......

"Flavors" of Windows licenses

Windows can be a little "odd" about license keys. There are at least 4 categories:

• Retail
• OEM
• Volume (electronic download)
• Corporate (no key needed)

For guaranteed success, the license key and media should be in the same category. If you have retail media, you may not be able to install it using an OEM or Volume license key, even though the key is valid for that version of Windows. *Wtf :wtf: Apparently, this is part of Microsoft's anti-piracy scheme (i.e., all customers are guilty until proven innocent).

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
