Windows 10: windows installation on a redundant disk

i have a tablet cum laptop Haier Y11b
it has two disks namely disk1 and disk2 as can been seen in the pic attached.

the screen or detachable part with 30GB as disk1 and the disk2 of about 500GB that is placed under the keypad/keyboard area of laptop,

Windows installation by default is allowed on disk1 i,e 30GB in order to make use of the large space I want to install it on the disk2 of 500GB but owing to reasons unknown i cant do so. moreover the disk2 is also not shown in the boot order.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Disk mirror failed redundancy: Remove mirror or reactivate volume?

The cause for Failed Redundancy would be that half, but not both halves, of a mirrored volume was imported. In Disk Management, the imported half of the mirrored volume receives Failed Redundancy status, while the disk that holds the
half of the mirror that was not imported receives Missing status. You can import the Missing disk at a later time to restore redundancy.



The solution for Failed Redundancy is to move all disks that span this volume to the new computer at the same time, and then import all of the disks together.



The complete solution is giving in the section A mirrored volume's status is Data Not Redundant from
Troubleshooting Disk Management.

Removing redundant disk stops Win 10 from loading.

Hi HR,

thank you for prompt reply.

I want to remove the redundant disk 0 as it may be unreliable. On this redundant disk is my original Windows 7 operating system which I no longer want. If I reformat this disk, I think my system will not boot into Windows 10 even after changes to the BIOS.

My BIOS is already set to first boot from Disk 2. Disk 2 has Win 8 and the Win 10 upgrade.

I tested as follows:

1. disconnected the IDE disk 0 connectors & its power supply

2. when I switch on computer, Windows booted into Safe Mode

3. I restarted & checked BIOS: the IDE master (redundant disk) not detected whilst disk 2 is still the first boot device. I then pressed F10 to save. Windows booted again into Safe Mode

Note: in Safe Mode, if I select Normal Windows, the system just restarts & goes back into Safe Mode.

4. I reconnected my IDE disk 0 and my computer boots into Windows 10.

I think what is happening is Windows still looks for the presence of Win 7 OS before continuing. If this idea is correct, what system changes can make so I can remove my redundant disk (and redundant Win 7). I wish to avoid having to revert back to Win 8,
restart as a clean install (not upgrade).

What do you suggest I do?
