Windows 10: Windows Installation on New Build Freezes at the first loading dial

So my new PC that i built freezes at the loading dial. I have a copy of windows purchased on DVD (on a disk, at least), and its in an optical drive. I’ve set the BIOS to boot from the disk, every other setting besides fast boot is set to default. When I boot my computer, it prompts me to hit a key to boot from disk. Once I hit the key, the disk spins up to a super high speed, the loading dial appears, spins a couple times, and freezes, and the optical drive slowly winds down and seems to stop spinning as well. I just want my computer to work...

ASUS ROG strix Z390 mobo

NVIDIA 2070 SUPER

16 GB DDR4 RAM

i7 9700k

some other stuff but those are the core components.


I can give other relevant details, just lmk. I would really like to be able to use this weekend to get it all up and running, so any help would be appreciated. Also, if the help could be focused on how to get me past the freezing screen part, i know what to do once windows actually starts loading correctly.

had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Well problem solved it didn't seem to like the mouse i had plugged in *Big Grin

It takes about 5min for to load each step in the windows setup? The disc drive will stop for about 5min then spin up and finally load? it does this for every step in the setup? very odd.
