    I have a issue with NVidia graphics' driver as it has DirectX 12 disabled for the required RTX graphic card. I have it working on my laptop, but the desktop is the issue. I compared versions and the are the same version 32.0.15.6636 BUT the desktop has a Driver Model ? :: 3.2My laptop is also version 32.0.15.6636 BUT the laptop has Driver Model ? :: 3.1 my guess is a feature in the card is disabled as they are two different cards but they both are RTX version cards; it applies to ray tensor core technology. I have been waiting for 12 hours from NVidia community but nothing from them. I hav

    WDDM driver? Windows 8.1

    WDDM 2 is for Windows 10 /DX 12. It reduces workload on GPU virtual memory.

    Windows 8.1 has WDDM 1.3.

    Simply ignore that optional update. When needed install nvidia drivers from nvidia site not from Microsoft Update.

    Ok thanks! So the WDDM 2.0 is just for windows 10 which I don't have, nor want now.

    WDDM driver? Windows 8.1

    Yes nvidia driver packs usually have drivers for 7/8.1/10 (WDDM 1.2/1.3/2) all in one. Just download and install latest nvidia drivers (in this case version 10.18.13.6182). And Windows Update won't offer that optional update anymore.
