Windows 10: Windows Installer goes to sleep

I am reinstalling a product called Steinberg Cubebase AI 9.5 (it has been removed) Each time the Windows installer begins it just sets there with the statement 'preparing to install' I"ve left this running over night w/o success. The task Mgr shows zero usage on my computer. Can someone please assist? Thanks

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

PC goes to sleep automatically.
