Hi Running windows 11Have used ipconfig /renew several times with no issues Then as of last week keep getting same message when try to use ipconfig /renewwindows IP configuration no operation can be performed on local area connection* 3 whilst it has its media disconnectedno operation can be performed on local area connection* 4 whilst it has its media disconnectedCan use ipconfig /release & ipconfig /flushdns and ipconfig / all with no problem Nothing I have found on the net has worked Any solution as to why this has started to happen and how to remedy CheersR

I'm having a similar issue and I tried all your ideas. I still have a "Local Area Connection" doesn't have a valid IP configuration. But I'm able to connect to WiFi no problem with the same computer.

So with trying your ideas, when I try to release or renew the ipconfig, it tells me:

"No operation can be performed on Ethernet while it has its media disconnected.

No operation can be performed on Local Area Connection while it has its media disconnected.

No Operation can be performed on Wireless Network Connection while it has its media disconnected"

However, if I do those same commands whilst actually connected to Wifi, they go through, and I restarted my computer and nothing changed. So I've now done it twice, with my computer connected to wifi they pass. Without the wifi, they fail.

My LAC says 'unidentified connection; no internet access'. Then gives me this:

Driver version: 10.12.1007.2016

I also checked all my drivers are updated.

Any other ideas that I could try? Thank you!
