  1. Windows ipsec vpn uses wrong DNS only on Network Sign-in

I'm using win10 domain member with an ipsec connection to a pfsense firewall:Add-VpnConnection -Name „vpn“ -ServerAddress „vpn.corp.local“ -TunnelType IKEv2 -EncryptionLevel Required -AuthenticationMethod EAP -SplitTunneling -AllUserConnection -RememberCredential -DnsSuffix corpl.localAdd-VpnConnectionRoute -ConnectionName „vpn“ -DestinationPrefix 10.64.0.0/16 -PassThruTo route all dns traffic into the tunnel, i set a very low metric on the tunnel interface. If i start the vpn manually with a local user, all is fine and dns traverses tunnel and reaches domain DNS. However when

L2PT/IPSec VPN connection fails when using Wi-Fi

Connecting to an L2PT/IPSec VPN connection fails when using a Windows 10 computer connected to the network by Wi-Fi. The error obtained is the following:

Windows ipsec vpn uses wrong DNS only on Network Sign-in 3425cf65-aa46-47b8-853b-27acbd9f3b9d?upload=true.png

I am sure the VPN settings are correct because I can connect to the VPN with the same computer, when the computer is connected to the network by Ethernet. Moreover, I am positive there is not a firewall in the way either, because I tested with another computer
using Ubuntu Linux, and I was able to connect to the VPN over Wi-Fi and Ethernet. Here is a list of the tests I ran:

    • Connection to VPN is sucessfull on Windows 10 when using Ethernet and Windows Firewall on.
    • Connection to VPN fails on Windows 10 when using Wi-Fi and Windows Firewall on or off.
    • Connection to VPN fails on Windows 10 when using both Wi-Fi and Ethernet network connections.
    • Connection to VPN is sucessfull on Ubuntu Linux when using Ethernet or Wi-Fi and UFW firewall on or off.

All test were run with the computers connected to a TP-Link SR20 router as the DHCP server and gateway. The router has the L2PT and IPSec pasthrough settings enabled. The antivirus used in the Windows 10 computer is Avira (free edition).

What is preventing the VPN connection when using a Wi-Fi network connection on Windows 10?

    Thanks

    Windows10 VPN using IPSEC/IKEv2 won't connect

I have set up a VPN server using IPSEC/IKEv2. Certificates are used for authentication, both for the server and a client.

VPN connection works great with a third party VPN client (Greenbow) but native Windows VPN client won't even try to connect.

Trying to open VPN connection (Start -> VPN settings -> [select VPN] -> Connect) results just a dialog "Verifying your sign-in info" which terminates with message "The context has expired and can no longer be used". Wireshark shows no traffic related to
the connection excluding a DNS query.

Certificate chain and a user certificate are installed in 'Local Computer' certificate storage. I don't really understand which "sign-in info" is being verified. I have also tried to set up the connection with power shell, but that wouldn't help either:

    Code:
Add-VpnConnection -Name "MyVPN" -ServerAddress "vpn.acme.com" -AuthenticationMethod "MachineCertificate" -EncryptionLevel "Required" -TunnelType "IKEv2"
    System info:
OS Name Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

    Version 10.0.18363 Build 18363

How to fix this? I would really like to use VPN client included in Windows10 if only it wasn't broken.
