    Windows is asking for the recovery key after downloading the latest update but i can't find it


    The laptop is asking for a recovery key after installing the latest update. I tried the normal method to find the key in my Microsoft account but it did not work. The Microsoft account does show my device is registered but it does not have the key and it says that there are no registered recovery keys. I have tried all methods to find the recovery key. I even tried the reinstall windows but it didn't work . I also tried uninstalling the latest updates but it also didn't work.

    I suggest you to download and install the latest software for ‘One Key Recovery’ from the manufacturer website and check if it helps.

    If the issue still persists, uninstall the software and install it in compatibility mode by following the steps below:

    • Right click on the ‘Setup’ icon for the driver and click on properties.
    • Under Compatibility tab, check the option for Run in Compatibility mode.
    • Select Windows 8 from the drop down list.
    • Click on Apply and then OK.
    • Install the driver software.

    When in win10:
    • Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....
    Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
    - Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.
