Windows 10: windows is disconnected, reconnect the drive message

Discus and support windows is disconnected, reconnect the drive message in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; i noticed that my downloads had gone, checked the file history and they are there. when i click 0n the restore button though i get a box come up saying...     windows is disconnected, reconnect the drive message


    i noticed that my downloads had gone, checked the file history and they are there. when i click 0n the restore button though i get a box come up saying windows e:\ is disconnected. reconnect the drive. also, windows drive is not connected to the pc comes up when i tap on an individual item in the file history for downloads.i do not know what to do, as all searches online seem to be about reconnecting windows network, and when i go into my drives and devices the two drives, a ssd and hdd are both showing as healthy.thank you for reading my question, hopefully a solution will be found.
