  1. Windows is doing everything in its power to prevent me from uninstalling Python 3.8.

I downloaded Python 3.8 from the Microsoft store and recently started using Emscripten. Little did I know that Windows Store Python 3.8 and Git Bash don't mix (when I try running Python, it gives me a permission denied error). Some troubleshooting showed that MS Store Python was the culprit.

    So I tried removing it.

    First things first, Microsoft Store.

Nope! Infinite errors. Updating windows, 3 restarts, wsreset.exe. Nothing did it.

Alright, fine. I'll delete the file. Access denied. Ok, bastard.

Uninstall through Settings. Doesn't appear in settings? Strange.

I'll move the WindowsApps folder down in the PATH. What, didn't work?

    Alright. You've made me pissed.

Deleting the PATH entry for the WindowsApps folder? Comes right back when I apply. Damn.

Installing 3 different programs to rid this file off my damn machine? Nope!

Fine. I'll try another reboot. See if Microsoft Store will cooperate now.

    Aaannnddd... Blue screen.

Can someone please tell me how I can get rid of this Hydra of a damn file? Do I need to get a magnet and a steady hand to manually wipe the bits off my hard drive or what?

EDIT: I've managed to get into Windows Store but nothing is responsive. I can't get into the library to uninstall the fucker.

  2. can't uninstall Python 3.6 on windows 10

    Solution:

UNHIDE ALL FOLDERS BEFORE FOLLOWING DOWN...

    1. Go to C:\Users\ (Current User Name)\AppData\Local\Programs
    2. Delete Python Folder
    3. Go to Control Panel >> Uninstall a Program
    4. Right Click on Python and then Change/Modify
    5. Click on Repair Python. Note: This will Fail but be Patient
    6. Now Again go to step 3
    7. Now, after step 3, uninstall Python

    Congratulations!! Uninstalled!!

Now Install a new fresh version

    Happy Coding! Happy Programming!!

  4. Windows is doing everything in its power to prevent me from uninstalling Python 3.8.

    Made a Mistake with Python

I had to install Python some time ago. I think it so I could use VeraCrypt. I do not remember which version of Python I installed or if it showed up in the app list in Settings.

Yesterday, I decided to install DeDRM removal tools. One of them required Phyton and I installed Python 3.5.4.3504. It shows up in the app list in Settings.\

I then figured out I didn't need Python because I was not going to use the standalone DeDRM removal app but just the DeDRM removcal plugin. So I proceeded to uninstall Python 3.5.4.3504.

I then remembered about the earlier Python install and was wondering if the new Python installation had maybe overwritten the earlier one. Since I need Python for Veracrypt to work, I decided to cancel uninstalling. For the last half hour, I have been looking at at the Python popup saying "canceling" and the cursor showing an hourglass.

    1. Is it likely that Python 3.5.4.3504 replaced the previously installed Python ?

    2. Was it a mistake to cancel uninstalling? If yes, what should I have done?

EDIT: I restarted and Python 3.5.4.3504 is still installed. VeraCrypt works. I still would like to know why after I canceled uninstalling, the canceling process would not stop.
