Discus and support Windows is forcefully switching my audio to speakers. in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; Im not sure exactly why this is happening, but the audio of my HP laptop is being forced into the speakers, even though it does detect my wired...     Im not sure exactly why this is happening, but the audio of my HP laptop is being forced into the speakers, even though it does detect my wired headphones, and they are working. If I mash hard enough, I can hear audio through the headphones for a split second before it swaps back. How can I stop this from happening?Thanks in advance!

    Try doing the following steps below to switch between your audio devices:

    For Windows 10, 1607 version:

    • Click on the sound icon in the notification area.
    • Click Select playback device.
    • Select the audio device you want to use from the menu.

    For previous versions of Windows:

    • Right-click on the speaker icon in the notification area.
    • Click Select Playback devices to select your preferred/default speaker.
    • Click on Playback tab to see the list of the devices.
    • Right-click on the preferred device then select Enable.
    • To make the device as your default audio, right-click on the chosen device then select
      Set as Default Device.

    Hi,

    This issue may have been caused by a corrupted Audio driver or defective audio port.

    To better understand this concern please answer the following questions:

    • Are you still able to play music using a built-in speakers?
    • Have you tried using other headphones or external speakers?

    We also suggest that you run audio troubleshooter by following these steps:

    • Type "troubleshooting" on the search box.
    • Select Troubleshooting on the result.
    • Click View all.
    • Choose Playing Audio then follow the instructions.
