Windows 10: Windows is opening a browser tab when opening apps

My system is opening https://www.microsoft365.com/?from=OfficeKey in chrome or whatever is set as standard browser if im not logged into mircosoftand https://www.microsoft365.com if im logged in on the website. This can even happen multiple times in a working session.Sometimes im working with my PC and after a while i open my browser that was running in the background and i got 10 https://www.microsoft365.com tabs open.Also happens when no browser is open.I can reproduce it already with certain software. Fastest way to reproduce it is opening a game from steam or any other App

Mail app will not open on 10041.

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it.

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

• Open powershell as administrator
• Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
• Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

 

Open new tab / window in S60 browsers. 2 techniques

On my 5800 UK v5.0.005



1) Open web browser... brings up list of book marks

2) Options -> Go to -> New web page

3) enter www.newtab.co.uk, then press Go to

4) Press arrow icon in bottom-right

5) Options -> Subscribe to web feed

6) Select "New Tab"



That's the set up.. Now to use it



1) Open google.com

2) Select Options -> Go to -> Web feeds

3) Select "New tab" from the feeds list

4) Select "Open new tab" from list

5) Select "Open new tab" from top of web page

Now there are two windows



Try deleting the feed from your phone, then following those steps.. let me know how you get on

 

Edge browser restore previous pages then suddenly opens new tab

Well I have the same situation only I get a new tab with a Restore Previous Pages option pop up in the top right hand corner if I click this it does restore those but leaves me with two Outlook (my start page) open so I shall try what you suggest. Edit: have just checked mine and it is switched off so perhaps you got lucky.
