Windows is slow to connect to my wireless network

It takes windows about 1-2 minutes to connect to my wireless network... If i click on the diagnosis tool it says that there was a problem with the wireless adapter or access point. It sometimes corrects it and I then get connected to the internet. It's basically like that most of the time when I boot my computer.

    :)

connecting to wirelless network at home with 5230

    Hi all,

I have a nokia 5230 and i was wondering if it is possible to connect to a wireless home network.

Because the T-mobile Web and Walk is slow and hope to use internet faster when i'm connecting to my wireless network at home.

    Thanks

  3. Wireless and hotspot connections

    Hi Joe,

Since you have mentioned that the wireless connection works perfectly from your end, it's possible that your colleagues encountered an issue due to slow network connection or incorrect WI-FI password. To help you troubleshoot the connection issue, we recommend
following the steps in this support page article:Surface can
find my wireless network but can’t connect
. You can also try deleting the saved network and re-add it back to make sure that password is correct.

We will wait for an update.

This still relates to the original post Windows 10 connects to my old 2.4ghz network instead of 5ghz - Solved - Windows 10 Forums The time that it is taking to connect from the computer to the Gateway is all because of possible third party security software, not reseting the gateway as explained before, resetting the adapter and driver on the suspect computer.

If you are coming out of standby or hibernate, it takes time for the IP Table on the Gateway to check for an existing IP attached to the MAC of the Network adapter on the computer, along with Windows needing to clear the cache and do its work to make sure that there is no pre-existing IP to MAC to cause IP Conflict.

it says the problem was not identified during the search

it happens whenever i boot my computer, and not when it comes out of standby

Did you remove device and driver from manager? Did you try doing a clean install to see if it could just be windows in general? I would go to what I was thinking on the other thread and try a Linux Live DVD to see if it happens with it. If so, you may just have to do a hard reset on your Gateway to flush its tables and all. Just remember to make up a backup of your Gateway config if you purchased it for a better wifi radio than what your provider offered. The last would be to use the Farbar minitoolbox, Service Scanner and the FRST tool to see if that can fix it.

Never rule out the simple. It is always going to be the most obvious that causes these headaches.

My third point is that a Linux Live DVD like Linux Mint, would allow you to see if the adapter is the problem or the Gateway. The last point is that you can reset the Gateway back to where it wipes out all devices assigned in IPTables. The Farbar tools are available at bleepingcomputer .com.

Why did you shrink the font on your post from what the original text was. No one will not answer your request when you make it very difficult to even read your help request.

in my post number 5, you would see at the end that I stated "The last would be to use the Farbar minitoolbox, Service Scanner and the FRST tool" Out of those three tools, they may be able to help with your issue.
