Windows 10: Windows is stuck on "working on updates".

I have a new windows 10 laptop and I updated it to version 1909. I restarted it but it says "working on updates 86%. Dont turn off your PC. This will take a while."

The circular dot thing is still spinning but it's been at 86% for like 30 min now.

Should I wait longer? What do I do if it remains like this for a few hours?

Btw the laptop does have SSD if that matters.

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
