    Windows is unable to activate, all windows apps crash.


    Hi!


    I've got a month old laptop that I am having issues with windows related apps and services.


    It started with the "Activate windows" watermark. Shortly after, all office apps started having issues. 10-20 seconds after opening them, I would get a popup claiming an error has occured and the app has to be closed. Press "Repair now". Note that in the background, the app is still running fine as intended, however it cannot be used due to the popup.


    I am unable to activate windows. Activation screen shows error code "0xC004F012", troubleshooter shows error code "0xc0000022".

    I've attempted to reinstall the office apps, the installer shows error code "30015-11 3221225506".


    So far I have tried fully uninstalling office apps via "Uninstall a program" and the uninstaller from office support page, both still result in same error when installing.


    I've tried manually activating 'Software Protection' service before activating my key, but I do not have access to start it Error 5: Access is denied. However, I can see that it starts automatically when trying to activate windows key, and stops after it fails.


    Is there a fix that does not require reinstall of windows? I do not have any recovery images to go back to.

    I suggest you run rthdribl > http://www.daionet.gr.jp/~masa/archives/rthdribl_1_2.zip
    Increase the window size step by step and watch your vga temps permanently.
    What happens?
    If it crashes, run at stock speeds as suggested before and retry.

    P.S.: When your system locks, does the display signal turn off after a time?
    Stuttering sound or no sound at all when freezing?
    What X1800XT model do you own exactly?

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
