    Windows is unable to open the camera on my Surface Pro 7.


    Windows Hello is unable to open the camera. The Camera app is unable to open the Camera. All the Privacy Setting are set to allow access. If I disable/enable the camera in the device manager I can open the camera in the Camera app but when I restart the computer it no longer works in that app or in Windows hello. Driver is up to date. Windows is up to date. . I originally had this problem in Windows 10. I reinstalled Windows 10 and problem was not fixed. I upgraded to Windows 11 and the problem persists. I have run the Surface Pro Toolkit to no avail. I have run the camera troublesh

    Hi,

    You may flip the camera on your Surface by going in to the camera app settings. Kindly refer to the steps below:

    • Open the Camera App on your Surface.
    • Swipe down from the top of the camera window (this brings up the Camera Options, as seen below.)
    • Tap Change Camera.
    • Take picture as usual.
    • Tap Change Camera again if you would like the camera to facing you.
