    Windows keep adding additional language layout automatically.


    I have Windows 11 and I am located in India. I use English US and Hindi keyboard layouts for work. Windows keeps adding another layout named 'English India' automatically everytime I restart my system. I tried everything to stop this from happening but nothing worked. Is there a permanent solution to this?

    Windows keeps automatically adding EN-US keyboard layout

    That doesnt work anymore, language isnt in control panel

    can i get new instructions?

    Hi Panupong,

    The updated Windows 10 may have detected your language, the reason why it automatically gave you the other Thai US keyboard. To correct this issue, we suggest that you follow these steps:

    • Click on the Start Menu, type in region and language settings and select it.
    • Under Languages, select Thai Kedmanee keyboard and click Remove.
    • Lastly, add it back by clicking Add a language.

    After these steps, your keyboard layout will permanently stay with Thai Kedmanee keyboard.

    Language bar shows keyboard layout not defined in language settings

    Hi John thank you for the suggestion. I followed the steps and the United States-International layout disappears from the language bar until I restart the system. It is back on the list next time I start Windows.

    Is there any other configuration that could be setting this layout?
