    Windows keeps asking me to change my password


    Hi. I have a problem with windows 10. Every few weeks, I am told that my password expired and needs to be changed. This was not happening earlier. So, could someone please suggest a fix for this issue?

    Hi Todd,

    It appears that you're having problems with your Surface asking you to change your password. For us to effectively assist you with your concern, we would like to know the following:

    • Did you make any changes to your device before the issue started?
    • Do you encounter the same problem with other user accounts?
    • Have you tried updating your Windows?
    • Have you taken any troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem?

    Trouble Changing Wi-Fi Password


    I've been following the following steps to change my Wi-Fi password for some time:

    1. Launch Control Panel.
    2. Click "Network and Internet."
    3. Click "Network and Sharing Center."
    4. Click "Wi-Fi...."
    5. Click "Wireless Properties."
    6. Click the Security tab.
    7. Check "Show characters."
    8. Enter the password in "Network security key."
    Those steps have been working just fine, but today I discovered a new wrinkle. If I change the password inside the router first, "Wi-Fi..." doesn't appear in step 4. This isn't much of a problem at home, because I can just change the password in Control Panel before I change it inside the router, but it would be a problem at a public hotspot, or something of that nature. I also tested Brink's instructions in "How to Connect To a Wireless Network in Windows 10," but they don't work for me either. How can I fix this?

    Keeps asking me to change password

    after downloading Windows 10 to a lenovo thinkpad carbon X1 with Windows 7 pro it keeps asking me to change the password whenever I restart. ! I really don't want to go back to Windows 7 but I have now changed almost two dozen passwords and I am running
    out of passwords!! There was a previous fix for windows 7 but despite looking everywhere I could not find a tab that allowed me to change length of password. I also removed the lenovo fingerpad recognition software in case that was clashing in some way with
    windows 10. Help!!!!
