Hi,a few days ago I reset my computer and did a clean install of Windows 11 using the Windows Media Creation Tool with USB Drive.I saved some of my files and deleted the rest.Now, every time I start my computer, Windows keeps booting into recovery mode, asking me if I want to access Windows 10 which I don't have installed or if I want to choose another option and start Windows 11.I also run msconfig and when I opened it I saw that, in the "boot options" tab, I have the option to choose which version of Windows I want to select as the default OS: - If I select Windows 11 as default, in the ge

windows 10 boot problems

I had windows 10 installed on my old laptop, I also had a boot problem, but my HDD just stopped spinning and I was unable to load windows.
It still had the Asus factory recovery partition which I used to reinstall windows 7.
I found out that my HDD was fine in windows 7, nothing wrong with it, staying with windows 7 SP1 on this laptop and I stay with windows 8.1 on my main laptop.
No windows 10 for me!

F8 doesn't work on UEFI boot. I needed to restart my machine a couple of times while windows was loading to force it into safe mode so Windows could see that booting was interrupted as opposed to crashing immediately after startup. It will do that when Windows fails to init a handful of times. The problem is that Windows doesn't know that the driver is at fault because Windows successfully boots, despite the fact that it crashed almost immediately. Restarting during Windows init will register a failed startup attempt so after a couple times it will send you to recovery mode where you can select safe mode.
