Windows 10: Windows keeps freezing even on the most simplest of tasks

Hello everyone. As of a few weeks ago, I started noticing that my PC would begin freezing up when doing even simple things, like resizing a window. However, it’s gotten to a point where everything pretty much freezes my PC, and I can’t get any work done. I feel like it started when I updated my PC, but since it’s been a while it’s too late to revert back.

I’m hoping that someone can help me out, because I really need to be able to use my computer again (typing this in mobile). When I log in and open any app, it’ll freeze. My mouse cursor will disappear, the app won’t load, etc. If I launch task manager, that’ll automatically crash as well and say Not Responding. There’s literally nothing I can do, and each time it happens I hold the power button and manually shut it down, only for it to happen again whenever I boot it up.

Has this happened to anyone? I really would like to know what I can do to fix this. Thank you
