Windows 10: Windows keeps giving me a popup and I don't know how to stop it

Hi! I keep getting a constant popup that reads: "windows cannot find "\tmp\taskhosts.exe", make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. "I never typed in anything, and this popup keeps appearing every 10-15 minutes, in the center of the screen. It's completely infuriating and has been like this for a few days now.It all started after I downloaded and tried to run an application that was a virus, although McAfee protected me from that virus. I have no idea what I should do. See the attached image for the popup itself.

I would give the other 3 options mentioned in the first guide:

• STEP 3: Use HitmanPro to scan for malware and unwanted programs
• (Optional) STEP 4: Reset the browser settings to their original defaults
• (Optional) STEP 5: Double-check for malicious programs with Zemana AntiMalware

Thanks, have heard this before...is their a step by step procedure to OC using the bios settings you suggest.
i don’t intend pushing this to its limit...but some increase would be great, any suggestions on a good air cooler ?
