  1. Windows keeps reinstalling default drivers.

Hey all, Im using a HP laptop from 2013 which shipped with windows 8. After updating to windows 10 about 5 years ago, the front facing beats audio speakers wouldn't work. Only until recently, did I find out that the PC was missing its Graphics, Audio and Touchpad drivers. I installed the proper drivers and all is good. The only problem is that after every windows update, windows replaces my audio, graphics and touchpad drivers with the default windows drivers. This isn't much of a problem since i know how to reinstall them, but I'm planning on selling this pc, and I want to permanently keep the proper drivers. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

  2. Windows 7 wont install drivers

i dont think anyone here understands what your asking either when its nearly a 90% english dominated Tech forum.
    Step 1
    reinstall windows from scratch
    Step 2
install all drivers from the cd that came with the god damn motherboard *common sense*
    Step 3
    update windows
    Step 4
install misc etc crap like flash java etc etc
    Step 5
    Install GPU drivers
    Step 6
go back to using your pc without issue.

  3. Ethernet Driver is not working on Windows 10

    Hi,

Thank you for the reply and update.

If you have not yet tried this then I suggest you to follow this step to test if that helps.

    Follow these steps.

    • Press “Windows key + X” and click on “Device Manager”.

    • In the list of devices, you should see the Network Adaptor.

    • Right click on the device and then select "Uninstall".

    • In the uninstall dialog, make sure you select the option to delete the driver package from the system. This causes the driver package installed earlier to be deleted.

In the Action menu of Device manager, select “Scan for Hardware changes” option. This will cause the default device driver to be reinstalled. Once the driver is installed, close all windows and restart the computer.

Keep us informed to help you further.

    Windows keeps reinstalling default drivers.

[Solved] Windows 10 keeps reinstalling KB3119142

I noticed quite some time ago that KB3119142 (Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Update 4 Redistributable Package) kept reinstalling itself for some reason. At least once daily. Sometimes up to several times a day. I just ignored it. It didn't seem to be doing any harm. And I figured they'd eventually fix it. Well...days turned into weeks, weeks into months, with no end to the problem in sight. It dragged on unsolved for at least the last few months. Literally reinstalling itself hundreds of(at least a hundred, felt like more) times in that period of time.

So I finally googled it a couple days ago. And just got around to fixing it today. Which appears to have worked. And it couldn't have been easier to do. I feel so stupid to have let it intimidate me for so long.*Oops! Windows keeps reinstalling default drivers.
Below are links to the thread that I got the fix idea from, and the official MS support info page for KB3119142(from which I quoted the above).
