Windows 10: Windows Keeps Restarting After Wacom Update

After updating my Wacom driver, which prompted me to restart, the computer is now repeatedly restarting automatically after booting up.It hasn't done this before. Yes, I have Automatic Restart disabled.

Wacom is not recognised by windows post update.

I understand how difficult it can be when your work gets affected. Here are the few steps that you can try to perform to resolve this issue.

This could be a possibility that we may require Firmware updates along with the driver update for the device.

Method 1: Connect Wacom tablet on different USB ports

Try connecting the Wacom tablet on different USB ports and check the status of the issue.

Method 2: Install the latest Drivers

You may download and install the latest tablet drivers from the
manufacturer website.

Method 3: Restart Wacom Services

1. Open run command (Windows + R key), type in “Services.msc” and press
   Enter.
   
2. Scroll down on Services window, find and right-click on your Wacom service.
   
   You might see services which says Wacom Profession Service, Wacom Consumer Service and
   TabletServiceWacom.
   
3. Right click on the services and then click on
   Restart and to re-initiate the these services.

Windows stuck after wacom driver update

To better assist you regarding your concern, we would like to ask some questions:

• Can you still access your desktop?
• Is the device plugged in when you restarted your computer?

If you can still access your desktop, we would suggest you to manually update the driver of your Wacom Citiq Tablet 13HD by downloading and installing it from its support website. If not, kindly update it while in Safe Mode with networking. To do so, kindly
follow the steps provided on this link.

Using my Wacom Tablet on Windows 10

Thank you for posting your concern in Microsoft Community and welcome to the Windows 10 Family.

From the description of the issue, I understand that Windows is unable to configure the drivers for Wacom driver.

I would suggest you to start afresh with the installation of the Wacom driver. Follow the below steps.

Step 1

Clean the temp folder to delete temporary files that are automatically created during the installation or uninstallation of any software application.

• Press the Windows + R keys simultaneously to initialize the
  Run command box.
• In the available field in the Run command box, type %TEMP% and press
  Enter.
• On the opened Temp folder, press Ctrl + A keys simultaneously to select all the contents of the folder and press delete key on the keyboard.
  
  Note: In case the operating system displays a message saying that any particular object cannot be deleted, skip the object from the deletion process and allow the windows to continue deleting the other contents of the folder.
• Once the TEMP folder is emptied, restart the computer to allow the changes to take effect.

Step 2

If you have the installation package for the Wacom driver, install the driver in compatibility mode. Please follow the below steps.

• 
  Right-click on the setup file and click on "Properties".
  
• 
  Click on the ‘compatibility’ tab and check the box "Run this program in compatibility mode for” and select previous Operating System from the drop down.
  
• 
  Click on ‘Apply’ and click ‘OK’ and run the file to install it.
