Windows 10: Windows keeps uninstalling latest AMD drivers and replacing them with generic useless drivers

There have been complaints about this for years on end, and Microsoft doesn't care or does not know how to fix the issue.Every couple of days Windows replaces my up-to-date AMD drivers with some generic Windows drivers.This disabled the use of 60+ Hz, disables HDR, and overall makes the GPU unusable.Why?On what Earth is this a useful feature?Why would Windows AT ALL try to mess with first-party drivers, let alone replace them?In what scenario would that be remotely useful?Who wants "generic video device drivers by Microsoft"?Why has it not been fixed for years now?Many questions to which none

Windows Keeps Removing AMD Drivers

In Device Manager in the Display Adapters section, is there an AMD graphics device listed?

Is Windows uninstalling the drivers you are installing and replacing them with a newer driver, or is it removing the drivers altogether?

 

How do you uninstall chipset drivers?

I'm installing a new mobo so I need to uninstall the intel 865g drivers to make way for the P35 drivers.

Can't find any uninstall options in add/remove programs and intel chipset inst listed in driver cleaner.

Any suggestions? *Confused

 

Windows update keeps replacing ALPS Touchpad driver with a Synaptics driver.

I suggest you to uninstall and delete the previous drivers and the latest drivers for the touchpad and install the required version of the driver from Device Manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows key + X and select Device Manager from the list.
• Expand the Touch pad driver.
• Right click on the driver and click on update/install.
• Select the required version from the on-screen prompts.

And for the problem with the installation of printer drivers, I suggest you to run the Windows Update troubleshooter by following the steps below:

• Type “Troubleshooting” in search box and press Enter.
• Click on “View All” option on top left pane.
• Select “Windows Update” from the list and follow the prompts for troubleshooting.
