Windows 10: Windows Key + Ctrl + Number shortcut no longer works after update 1-2 months ago

My issue seems to be very similar to the following question :

I first noticed my issue around 1-2 months ago after a Windows update. I'm pretty sure that the fix in the link above would work for me ("Downgrading seems to have resolved this issue. This is probably a bug with the update. "), but I think it's been too long as I can't find an option to uninstall the April Version 1803 update anymore. Is there any other way I can uninstall the update?



I've tried most of the things in the link above and none of them worked.

I don't think System Restore was turned on at the time, so I don't have a restore point I can go back to.

If this was caused by April Version 1803 update can roll back Version 1803 in Settings>Update & Security>Recovery and then hide it until it matures using the Hide Updates Tool downloaded from here: http://download.microsoft.com/download/f/2/2/f2... "


I think it's been too long as I don't seem to be able to uninstall any updates from around that time anymore.

Reinstalling drivers in device manager didn't help.

The keyboard doesn't work in safe mode.


"If not see if the On-screen Keyboard works at Settings > Ease of Access > Keyboard > Turn On the On Screen Keyboard. "


The on-screen keyboard didn't work - neither did a different physical keyboard.

This didn't help.

Windows 10 shortcut key not working - Please help

Hey guys,

I'm trying to create a shortcut key for a program/script that turns off my monitor. I've confirmed that the small program is working by double clicking on it. The problem I'm having is that when I go to create a shortcut key for it. First I create a shortcut to the program, then I set a shortcut key, say "ctrl-shift-s". After applying the changes, clicking Ok, I try to use the shortcut by pressing the ctrl-shift-s key combination. When I do this, nothing happens. I've confirmed that shortcut keys works with other apps like the Command Prompt. Does anyone have any insight to this?

windows + ctrl + number no longer works after latest update.

The windows + ctrl + number shortcut for opening the latest used instance of an application no longer works after the latest update. I am not sure if this is related to my issue, but when I use windows + number, it works and shows me a white box around the
thumbnails of applications at the task bar.

I have tried a restart and check for driver updates.

 

Ctrl keys not working- odd issue

Hi!

The shortcuts using ctrl work if i have the tabs that show them listed (like the "file" tab on word) on all other programs. They do not work when the tabs are closed.

it stopped working about 3 months ago

There was no specific change that i can remember the keys just stopped one day.
