Windows 10: Windows key no longer works in-game, eventually "breaks"

The windows key on my keyboard used to bring up my start menu while I was gaming and now it does not. I had the problem a week or so ago and an update fixed it. But now the problem came back. It's not a big problem but if I leave the game running to go to desktop for something it eventually "breaks" the win key all together and I have to restart to fix it. When hitting the win key with the game minimized it usually highlights the window start key--like maybe another key is stuck?I tried turning off settings and apps that could affect the keyboard: win 11 "game mode", logitech, etc. There

Do you remember installing any break reminder software?



It looks like it is a pop up from a break reminder software.



I suggest you to look for this in Programs in features and uninstall it if do not use it.



Try the following steps:

• 
  Press Windows + R keys to open Run Command
  
• 
  Type Appwiz.cpl and hit enter
  
• 
  Search for the programs and un-install it.

Keyboard Volume Keys not working while in-game

I happen to have used the Tt Challenger Pro keyboard in the past, and the volume keys worked flawlessly in every game, so it's indeed a weird problem. I would suggest the same thing sneekypeet suggested, using the keyboard software and assign this function to a hotkey, but you said that didn't work either, so yeah...
