Windows 10: Windows Key Shortcuts Running Without Pressing Windows Key!

Hi all, I've been having this issue where, when typing anywhere MS Word, URL bar, Outlook, Etc., the Windows key shortcuts start to run when I press the corresponding hot-key. For example: I will click the URL bar in Chrome to search "Recipe ..." and the "Run" shortcut, Explorer, Settings, and Project side bar will all pop-up. This issue is not 100% of the time, but rather every so often i'd guess once in every 10-15 times I go to type somewhere I have tried this in multiple different apps and with different external keyboards even brand new ones, to make sure the Windows key wasn't

Windows 10 shortcut key not working - Please help

Hey guys,

I'm trying to create a shortcut key for a program/script that turns off my monitor. I've confirmed that the small program is working by double clicking on it. The problem I'm having is that when I go to create a shortcut key for it. First I create a shortcut to the program, then I set a shortcut key, say "ctrl-shift-s". After applying the changes, clicking Ok, I try to use the shortcut by pressing the ctrl-shift-s key combination. When I do this, nothing happens. I've confirmed that shortcut keys works with other apps like the Command Prompt. Does anyone have any insight to this?
