    Windows kinda locks up randomly


    Hello,

    Since a few days my OS keeps freezing at random points.

    I can still use the mouse and do some things, but I can't access the Taskbar. Windows key doesn't work, but alt+tab does.

    Task manager does show up after some time, but I can't interact with it until it crashes at some point.

    Also it doesn't show particularly high system usage except for ~25% CPU usage from Windows Explorer.

    I cut all connections the computer had, suspecting some sort of hidden miner or something like that, since I have a pretty powerful PC, considering I basically just have a browser and some light programs open.


    After a while the explorer itself seems to crash and after it restarts the issue is gone.

    It happend for the third time this month just as I'm typing this, so not that often but it's worrying me a bit.


    System specs:

    Windows 10 Pro for Workstation

    32GB RAM

    i5 8500


    The computer is connected to the Internet via WiFi and via Lan to a Proliant DL380 G7, which is running 30-40 Virtual Machines and is usually connected to the wifi through my computer.

    Computer Randomly locks up

    Ok, so my dads pc (its in sp) completely randomly locks up.

    Im not sure what the deal is.

    it was working fine, i swapped boards and it game me a memory error but no big deal, fixed that. now, it locks up a few times a day, whether it is in the bios, or post screen, windows, trying to format windows ect.

    Im not sure what to do! if its the board i'll rma it and give him "back" the P45 but if its ram or hdd idk...

    what do you suggest?

    windows xp installation and dual core am

    could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
