Windows 10: Windows Kiosk for Electron App with Admin Elevated Permission gives black screen

0Need Help !!I have Electron Application that requires Admin permission. i have to launch that application in kiosk mode. I was able to create a provisionpackage.ppkg to launch electron app on Kiosk mode. I was able to apply it succesfully on win 10 Ent version. But when i login to the Kiosk account it is showing black screen. If i remove admin rights to the same application and try kiosk for that, application is getting launched in kiosk mode. But our application need admin rights to work properly. I tried disabling UAC as well, but it didnt worked.Package.jsonElectron Index.js file

Windows 10 kiosk mode: screen locks after login

I understand that you are facing issues while using Kiosk Mode on Windows 10.



Since you are being logged out of Kiosk Mode after every login, I suggest you to refer the article

Troubleshoot kiosk mode issues.



Also, you can try removing and creating the Kiosk account again, follow the steps mentioned below to remove the Kiosk account:

1. Go to Settings >
   Accounts > Family & other people.
   
2. Under Setup a kiosk option click on
   Assigned access.
   
3. Now under Kiosk info click on the
   account name and click on Remove kiosk.
   
4. Now click on Remove.
   

Once the account is removed, refer the article to
Set up a single-app kiosk.

Black Screen After log in on Admin account

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community and being a part of Windows 10.

I understand that you are facing black screen issues in Microsoft account(Admin account) and unable to open Settings app on other user account. Correct me if I am wrong.

Provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What exactly do you mean by: "here is an advanced system care widget on the upper right hand corner though"?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Were you able to see any error code/ error message with this issue?
• Are you referring to built-in administrator account on your device?

For the issues with Back screen errors on admin account, I suggest you to
refer to the below post replied by Sharath Srinivasa on August 7, 2015, perform the troubleshooting steps mentioned and check if it helps.

Let us know what exactly happens when you try to access Settings app?

I suggest you to run SFC scan and check if it helps.

System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files. If a
Windows Resource Protection (WRP) file is missing or is corrupted, Windows may not behave as expected.

Follow the below steps:

• Right click on the Start button, click on
  Command Prompt (Admin).
• Type “sfc /scannow” without the quotes and hit
  Enter.
• After the scan, restart the computer and check for the issue.

Programs using electron give black screen

My laptop is showing black screens when I run programs like Atom or Discord. The programs load correctly and shows briefly when you resize it. You can see this effect with the minecraft launcher in the gif below:



I've tried to reinstall the Nvidia control panel and drivers and install the newest updates but it's not solved.

I am running windows 10 Creators Update and have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 950m

I've looked online and found this Black screen with an Nvidia GPU · Issue #4380 · electron/electron I know Discord and Atom are built on Electron I don't know if Minecraft uses Electron. Is there any way to fix this issue?
