Windows 10: Windows Lag on New Applications

For a long time, I have been suffering from a strange problem on my windows PC. This problem happens with most of the Games and other heavy applications Like VS Code, Unity etc All the applications I stated above lag badly on startup. In fact lag is a generous term because it's basically 1 FPS.However, this problem gets fixed when I keep on closing and reopening the applications. On some games, I have to repeat this procedure like 50-100 times to get it to properly work. Once the problem is fixed, it doesn't happen again. And the fix doesn't happen all of a sudden but rather in steps. So whe

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Some of my programs and applications are lagging. What do i do? I have no viruses or anything.
