Windows 10: Windows lags constantly

Hello,


I have just performed a fresh install of the machine and I noticed that Windows lags when:


1. Downloading a file. There's a pause sometimes long between me clicking DOWNLOAD and the download actually starts. Also during this "pause", I can't do anything, I can't click anywhere, etc.


2. Creating a folder anywhere. That doesn't even appear until I click the refresh button. Then I rename the folder and again, nothing happens until I click the refresh button again.


3. Both in Windows Explorer any window, any folder and on the desktop, there's a lag when I save a file and when that file actually appears. Sometimes it doesn't and I have to click Refresh either the window or the desktop and then it will appear. The same happens for something I download.


I have checked the Event Viewer and I see an error repeating often see screenshot. Any idea would be greatly appreciated.

Random lag spikes

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
